As soon as you leave the port of Alghero on your left you can enjoy the panoramic view of the old town of Alghero from the sea with its typical walls erected for defense against attacks from the sea. Just 20 minutes from the port of Alghero, you will find yourself at Capo Galera, where there is one of the most popular diving centers in the gulf.The clear waters, along with posidonia and extroverted fish such as Occhiate, make Capo Galera a great place to take your first swim.
Continuing toward Capo Caccia you will skirt Punta Giglio, a sheer limestone cliff that when viewed from below takes your breath away. On July 21, the Santa Maria La Palma winery replaces the bottles of Akenta that it leaves each year on the very seabed of Punta Giglio to age instead of in the cellar, a wine that has become a symbol of Alghero so much so that Akenta day is celebrated that day.
Punta Giglio together with Capo Caccia, form the entrance to Porto Conte, which is part of the Portetta Marine Area as it is rich in the very precious Posidonia Oceanica and so much marine biodiversity that attract divers from all over the world
In a few minutes you can then get to Capo Caccia, another limestone cliff that seen from Alghero forms the picturesque image that has the shape of a reclining giant. Cape Hunt hides three treasures behind it:

Neptune's Cave is a cave that stretches 4km with a 120-meter salt lake, The cave was inhabited by the monk seal. Today the cave can be visited on foot by descending 654 steps from the parking lot at the top of capocaccia, or by using the boats that disembark passengers every hour or so
The palombi cave is one of the caves that can be visited with one's own boat, The depth in fact allows even larger boats to access it. It is located within the island Foraddada so called because (from the Sardinian) punctured precisely by this cave. When entering remember to be quiet and avoid flashes
This Cove is one of the most beautiful in the gulf, Accessible on foot only by descending with peaks and climbing the cliff, The seabed is purely rocky. Dropping the anchor is not recommended except for those who are very familiar with the water and can possibly go down 4-5 meters to disengage the anchor

Fish such as walleye, those in the picture, are very popular in our coves. Try feeding them, they immediately take confidence in you to the point of being able to eat directly from your hand!
Yes, a plant. Not an Alga. This plant has considerable ecological importance, exerting considerable action in protecting the coast from erosion. Within it live many animal and plant organisms that find nourishment and protection in the prairie. It is protected, so it is good to observe it without damaging it for example with anchors
Shellfish in general, but especially the common octopus, is very common in Porto Conte Park, to the point that professional fishermen are allowed to catch them. It won't be hard to see some of them after a few minutes wearing a mask
